Tall Mountain Homeschool (TMH) organizes classes for homeschoolers (from September to May) in partnership with Van Asselt Community Center. Similar to Loyal Heights Homeschool (LHH) near Ballard (and the former Family Learning Program (FLP) in West Seattle), you can expect to find folks hanging out at the community center—attending classes, chatting in the lobby and outside, and playing at the adjacent playground. Like LHH, TMH was started by Seattle Homeschool Group members who volunteered to organize it– come by and say hi!

Many of the teachers for homeschool programs at community centers are ARC employees and some teach in a volunteer capacity. Is there a class you’d like to teach or a club you or your kid(s) would like to help lead? Drop us an email to discuss; we look forward to connecting with you!

For kids under the age of 11, an adult who is responsible for them needs to remain onsite. The City of Seattle provides free Wi-Fi, and some people bring their laptops. We ask that people stay home when symptomatic with a viral infection. For guidance, see these CDC Guidelines.
